"We play together" workshop in Kaunas
An impressive event of the international project "We play together" took place on January 15 - 17 in Kaunas. Participants from Latvia, Poland, Estonia, Denmark, and Lithuania gathered to learn practical examples and learn how to integrate vulnerable children and young people, especially Ukrainian refugees, into the local community through grassroots sport.
The intensive two-day program was a unique opportunity for international participants to gain skills and knowledge on how to integrate life skills into sports activities, learn practical methods, get a deeper understanding of how to approach Ukrainian kids, and discover Kaunas and Lithuanian folk dances.
The Youth Can director Arminas Vareika is grateful for the opportunity to share experience with partners from other countries, and expressed his sincere gratitude to the volunteers and coaches who helped to ensure the organisation of high-quality workshop.
